Books I read for the Past Months

As I've mentioned , reading is one of my favorite hobby. I love to read any articles may it be a glossy magazine, spreadsheets and even tabloids. And so books won't be left behind, so here's what I've read for the past months.

The Pilot's Wife by Anita Shreve. I was encourage to read this book because it is tag as Oprah's Book Club and it should be good> But I'm not that impressed with the plot because for me it's just a plain simple story. It's movie version was released  April 2002.

In My Sister's Country by Lise Haines. I thought at frist  the story will revolve around the lovelife of the sisters as based on the summary at the back of the book but the story is about their family. So far it's nice.

The Woodchipper Murder by Arthur Herzog. I really love this one because it's my favorite genre: True-to life crime stories. It's about a flight stewardess that's missing and they found out she's murdered by her Pilot husband because they have indifferences with their marriage life.
My basic knowledge on murder cases has been expanded throught this book because the author detailed all the events that happened especially during the forinsic investigations.

Uptown Dreams by Karen Quinones. I like the story though it's just a light drama about friendship. I learned a lot of terminologies :) here.

My Father's Secret War by Lucinda Franks. It's a memoir of Lucinda Franks and it's about her Father's struggle during world war II which he kept for long time beacuse he happens to be a spy for both parties.

The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. The story is about conflict of two rival groups, the Greasers and the Socs (pronounced by the author as "so-shez", short for Socials), who are divided by their socioeconomic status.
Movie version was released in 1983 with Tom Cruise as one of the cast.
